Where It All Began — OSR CON I (April 18, 2026)
OSR CON I brought together a passionate community of old-school gamers for a full day of adventure, storytelling, and shared tables. From packed game sessions and standout vendors to incredible artwork and a strong charitable showing for The Jimmy Fund, the inaugural event delivered exactly what it set out to do—capture the spirit of classic tabletop gaming.
The response was overwhelmingly positive, with attendees calling it “clean, well-run, and perfectly executed,” and praising the welcoming atmosphere, quality of games, and tight organization throughout the day. For a first-year convention, OSR CON didn’t just meet expectations—it set the tone for what’s to come.

This tribute places a special focus on Spellfire, Jim Ward’s signature creation and a game that perfectly captures his love of epic magic and shared play. The table invites attendees to gather, play, and connect—whether rekindling memories from the early days of the hobby or discovering Spellfire for the first time. Above all, the Jim Ward Memorial Spellfire Table is a celebration of community, creativity, and the joy Jim brought to every game he touched.
The Jimmy Fund Silent Auction...
A highlight of OSR CON I, our Silent Auction proudly supported the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute—bringing the community together for a cause that matters.
Attendees bid on unique items throughout the day, with strong participation and a meaningful impact. It was a powerful reminder of what this community can do when it rallies together.
The Silent Auction will return at OSR CON II in 2027.
